Catherine Cudjoe

Life has taught Catherine Cudjoe a lot and taking risks is one of them. She was born and raised in Ghana, the eldest of 3 siblings made of 2 brothers and a sister. Before she immigrated to the United States (US) in 1997, she had planned to work and support her family and relatives back home. Attending College and being active in the African community was not part of the plan, but life always gifts us with surprises.

All that changed in 2000 when she decided to volunteer at the Schervier Nursing Care Center in Riverdale, New York. The Director of the Recreation Department at that time; Charles Sourby, advised her to pursue a college degree; this was because he recognized in her a creative, charismatic, energetic, intelligent and sociable personality.

She graduated from Lehman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2014, she is currently enrolled at the Devry University where she is pursuing an MBA in Hospitality. Catherine is also Founder of Keymama Foundation.

In 2008, she decided to join the National Ghana Parade Council as a volunteer. Then in 2014, due to her active role in the Council, she was appointed as the President of the Council. She has since then been actively involved in the African community bringing awareness and championing respective causes of which include her work as an active member on the boards for the African Friends of the US (AFUS), African Diaspora Parade Council and Gadangbe Council of NY.

Ms.Cudjoe is also on the boards of the Progressive Alliance Movement (PAM), African Advisory Council – Advisor for Culture committee, she's also a Community Volunteer and a Presenter at Amansan Radio LLC.

Catherine Cudjoe resides in the Bronx and can be reached via email address ckcudjoe@gmail.com and see what's new with her by checking out her Facebook page – Keymama Show.
